I Am Me...Mary

I have many titles, but I am still me, sometimes I forget this. Sometimes I get wrapped up in trying to make everyone else happy that I forget I need to be happy too. It's hard especially when you get caught up in the every day rush of life. I tend to blame myself for a lot of things, and I am very hard on myself. I try so hard sometimes way to hard and I need to stop it. I have to remember I have feelings too and my hard work has a purpose and deserves to be validated. I think I forgot that. I need to find myself again, I need to be happy not only for my family but more importantly for myself.

Worth It.....

It's been a rough couple of weeks at our house, I am not going into details, other than Marriage is much harder than I ever imagined. I love my husband, we have recently hit some serious road bumps and I have been having a hard time seeing past the storm. I have prayed, and asked a few of my close friends for advice. It's not easy for me to do this. So for those 2 friends, I can't thank you enough for the wonderful advice. I won't name names, but they know who they are. This morning on my windows background (the picture changes every 30 seconds) this picture popped up...it made me smile, made think the quote "I Never Said It Would Be Easy, I Only Said It Would Be Worth It"

My Boys

There are days of course that are MUCH harder than others, then are the days that make you realize working your rear end off is worth it. These little people amaze me. They make me want to be a better person, I want my boys to be proud of me and yet they have no clue they have done this. They also drive me crazy at times but there are more better days than bad days by far. They are the reason I wake up and drag my butt out of bed every day. I can't imagine my life without them. I love them so much. I miss them so much I hate working...before I worked no big deal, now with kids it's just so much harder. I know I need to be here for the money but I wish there was a way I could be home with them. Until the day comes, I will enjoy the little time I do get to be with them at night and on the weekends. Love you boys, more than you will ever realize.....Thanks Dad for letting Mom stay home with us kids, Thanks Mom for being a "mean" Mom....Thanks Nadine for letting me be a Mower.....Thanks Richard for being a Dad to these awesome boys.....

Hair Cuts For My Boys Before & After

Last night if you were to look in our kitchen you would have thought we sheered a multi colored sheep! Blonde & Black hair EVERYWHERE! It was our lets cut the boys hair cause it's driving mom nuts night. (Plus another lice scare at one of the local schools, blah!) I cut Richard's hair but Richard cut the boy's hair. Avery has had several hair cuts in his life, I could easily do a cut every few months. His hair seriously grows like a weed! Toby however isn't as lucky. He will be 3 in december and this was his 2nd hair cut in his life time! Crazy. Here are the before and after pictures. Evan already has short enough hair we left his alone...for now.....

Grandpa & Toby

I was trying to upload the pumpking patch pictures but from some reason it keeps freaking out everytime I try uploading more than 1 picture at a time...blah I am so not in the mood to upload 10 pictures 1 at a time! Instead I am going to show you these pictures. Toby LOVES his grandpa, Avery does too but Toby hangs on Grandpa Hendrickson whenever he is around. He loves doing anything with him. He never wears hats, but when he saw Grandpa wearing one he had to wear one too...when I was up at the farm on Saturday he kept hanging around me and Grandpa and wanted to be held by him, when he's home he will do that a lot with Daddy. I love my Toby!

Fishing With Family

Last weekend the boys went up to Grandma & Grandpa Hendrickson's farm up in Idaho. Where Richard was raised. All three boys went....it was very strange for me to have all the boys gone. I was like a lost puppy. I just didn't know what to do with them gone. I was busy...work and more work and cleaning the house between the jobs. I missed them A LOT. I was so happy to have them home again. They had a blast while they were up there. They spent time with their cousins, they go to go to Uncle Zane's birthday party, went to the pumpkin patch and got to go fishing. They had so much fun. They always love going up to the farm. Toby had so much fun "fishing" I can't wait until Richard can take all 3 boys fishing! I can't believe Toby is almost 3...where has the time gone? And Avery is almost 7? Are you kidding me? Crazy I know! I am starting to feel old.....

Thank you for not saying Thank you.....

This seriously cracks me up...I giggle every time I read this email....I am NOT giving out who sent this....I am not making fun of this person...just makes me laugh....We use a group chat for help from the programmers at my job with client's issues. If we can't figure the answer out ourselves then we use the chat room to get some answers/help. We recently got this email.....

Reminder –

It’s really important that we keep conversations in group chat to a minimum, especially this week while we’re experiencing such volume. Chit chat makes it really difficult and time-consuming to follow the issues. More tickets are escalated to regulatory when we miss the rep’s initial question.

1. If you cannot resolve an issue within two iterations with the rep, ask that the rep chat you in a separate window. Three chats, you’re out.

2. Let it be known that we are hereby BANNING all smiley faces, thank you’s, you’re welcomes, and their variations (ty, yw, etc) and all unnecessary comments. We don’t have time for pleasantries right now.

Thanks very much. We’re having some fun now, right?

LOL yup that's right folks...they are Banning pleasantries! But wait...my Mom taught me to be polite! And now we are told NOT to? What to do...what to do!!!! Do what work says or do what Mama taught me!?! Oh Noes!!!!!

I'm not perfect but then again neither are you

I have debating whether or not to post this. The reason I am posting this is because I want to remember how I am feeling at this moment. I am not going into details and or give out names, because I am not trying to rat anyone out and or start drama with anyone.

First things first...I am not perfect...I am not going to admit that I try to be perfect either. I will admit that my family comes first. I love my friends dearly but my family will always come first. It became painfully obvious that certain family members do not want me apart of their lives. It makes me sad because I don't think I am such a horrible of a person as they are making me feel like I am. There are several (over the years) little things that have happened but something happened last weekend that wasn't anything huge but it opened my eyes up and made me realize I'm someone they don't want to be around. Normally I could care less, because the way I see it if someone chooses not to like me that's their choice and I move on but this time it's different, because the family is attached to my....Dad....I can't cut my Dad out of my life, I don't want to. I will admit that my relationship with my father over the years has been rocky. I am not saying it's all his or mine fault, I am just as guilty as he is. But I am trying to rebuild the relationship, I really am....it's going to take time...so it's baby steps. I want my kids to know their Grandpa...he loves them so much, Avery loves going to church with Papa. I think it's unfair that my dad is having to be in the middle of this. Richard doesn't know what to think he agrees with me that when we are around certain family members we feel don't feel welcome like they are having to put up with us being there. A part of me thinks I should try harder but a bigger part of me is afraid that if I do trying harder I am taking a chance of getting my feelings hurt again.

You can't choose your family but you can choose your friends. I love my family but I guess they chose not to be mine? It's out of my hands.

Famous Dad

So I was on my sister's FB and she had a picture of her and my Dad and someone commented about how she was able to meet Dr. Phil. I laugh because people have made the comment on how he does look like Dr. Phil, even more funny? Avery's my dad's first Grandchild....Dr. Phil's first grandchild's name is Avery as well! Ahhhh just to bad we can't have the money like Dr. Phil does huh? Oh to dream to be a stay at home Mommy! I love my Dad and glad he's mine....but it makes me giggle when people think that he's Dr. Phil!

6 Months Old Evan

I love my chunky monkey!
He LOVES to talk...the kid won't shut up! Screams, babbles...if it includes making some type of noise from his body..he will do it!
He can almost sit up on his own...he does for about 30 seconds before falling over
He is FINALLY sleeping in the crib....and sleeps all night (most of the time, unlike last night)
He think's Avery is the funniest person!
He does NOT like the cat.....at ALL
He's such a fun baby...I love making him giggle and smile, it makes my day! I love him!
