Getting To Know Mary Better

Angie tagged me to write 25 random things about myself, so I figured it's a great opportunity to let my readers get to know me a little better! (Cause I have TONS of time now!)

1. I am about 99.9999999% sure this will be my last pregnancy....this makes me really really sad, I have always wanted a girl but with me not getting any younger I fear that my body just won't be able to handle getting pregnant again........

2. I am seriously trying to decide what I want to do with my hair after the baby is born, I am thinking about getting a trim to get rid of my split ends (that my husband pointed out) and going back blonde...I would love to hear any feedback from people though!

3. I am try daily to be a better Mom than the day before, some day's I don't succeed but I don't ever give up, I know I will never be perfect, but then again who wants a perfect Mom? I just want to have happy kids and have them know they are truly loved.

4. Twizzlers are the devil..the sweet sweet strawberry Delicious DEVIL!!!! AND I refuse to end my relationship with said sweet devil...some people have their chocolate I have my Twizzlers!

5. I think the key to a great marriage is Laughter, and with Richard I am always laughing, a while back we went shopping together and I would have to say it was the funnest we had together in a long time, granted it cost us $238 in the end, but at one point I was in tears laughing so much in the middle of the cereal isle...People there I'm sure thought we were odd...that's ok though....we can be odd together.....

6. I love ALL types of music from country to hard rock and SOME rap & I LOVE the Beatles!....it all depends on my mood at the moment!

7. I have been an insomniac as long as I can remember, I do however find it VERY funny that the expensive ambien does not put me to sleep at all but the over the counter $1.97 Walmart sleeping pill will knock me out!

8. I love to clean, I love having a clean house, it makes me feel like I have accomplished something and makes me feel relaxed, if the house it messy it will drive me INSANE until it's clean. OCD Much? Yeah I'm afraid so, and I'm totally OK with it!

9. Code Red Mt. Dew Is Currently My Favorite Drink! Yummmmmmmm

10. I am currently on bed rest, it sucks at times, but I feel like I have never gotten more sleep in the longest time! I am loving my sweet husband who has been helping me out so much!

11. My family means everything to me, some drive me nuts but what's a family without some black sheep, and who's to say I'm not those Black Sheep! Haha I like color in my life.....

12. Just found out that my brother is heading to Fort Knox for the Army in September and after that he doesn't know where he will go next (he's only there for a few months) I'm not sure if I like this or not...but I really can't tell him how to live his life....sigh...why not??

13. Why can't I have a cleaning maid like I do in my Sims game??

14. Random thought...thinking of 25 things about myself isn't as easy as I thought!

15. I have been reading The Lovely Bones since December, now that I'm home you would think I would have more time to read it, but I keep forgetting I have the book until right before I climb to bed...slacker I know!

16. I am a photo freak....I let my "sister" Kelsey borrow my camera to take pictures and she's had it for like 3 weeks, and I'm about going crazy! I need to get it back from her this weekend!

17. During this pregnancy my favorite smell is Coffee beans, which is funny because I don't like the taste of it but the smell....Mmmm so yummy!

18. My goal after this baby is born is to get back down to my pre Baby weight, which is 135-140, lets just say I won't say what I am at now....but it is a goal I know I can make! I am going to make the goal to have it off by the time my brother leaves for Army fun, so that's September 27th....I can do it! If anyone else want's to join in let me know! It's always better with a buddy!

19. I know tanning isn't good for you but I LOVE to go tanning sooooooo much...it's Sooooo relaxing & after I get out I turn into Freckle monster! It's so funny I seriously gain about 200 freckles on my face alone for about an hour! Some people hate theirs, I love mine! I think it add's personality!

20. Whether it's a list for my weekly trip to Walmart or for my daily chores I love making them, so when I get this list all crossed off it makes me feel like I have accomplished something!

21. I like my cereal as plain as possible....no sugar....plain...Cherrios plain are the best..or Rice Chex.... and with as little milk as possible! I know it's odd but meh..that's how I roll...!

22. I have a very long tongue....my nickname was lizard tongue! I had my tongue pierced for the longest time (like 8 years!)

23. I think sleep is way overrated!

24. I try to drink at least 5 water bottles a day aka 85 oz of water, I truly believe that it helps flush out extra crap in your system.....lately I have been drinking more to help with the contractions.

25. I love blankets! I am a cold person so you will often find me wrapped in a blanket because I can't stand being cold, it's a pet peeve! That and being in wet clothes! Gag!

I am tagging EVERYONE who has not done this....It's really quite fun!

Preemie Baby

I was unable to sleep last night so I was flipping the channels on TV when I came across TLC's show 19 kids & counting. They were doing a new episode to show the birth of their most recent baby girl whom they named Josie. Alot people heard about this birthday right around Christmas time because Michelle (the Mom) had the baby so early, she had several different complications and they ended up having to deliver the baby at 25 weeks into the pregnancy, and in case you don't know a normal pregnancy lasts 40 weeks, so she was barley half way done when they had to do an emergency c section. Josie was only 1 lb 6 oz when she was born. It's been almost 2 months she she was born, and in the show it didn't say how she was doing as of today but seeing how in the news I haven't heard anything no news usually means good news? I hope in the case at least. I am currently 28 weeks, I am just 3 weeks ahead of her so when I saw the little girl being born (they filmed pretty much the whole c section) I quickly realized how tiny my baby is right now at my last apt he weighed 2 lbs 3 oz. It scared me so much to see this poor baby struggling to just take in a single breath. They showed the Dad holding up a piece of baby with the baby's weight and her footprints, (see picture above that's about how tiny her's were) when I saw the footprints I just started crying (yeah preggo hormones) they were sooooo tiny, they looked like barbie footprints let alone human being ones! I quickly realized me going insane on bed rest is totally worth it now (not that I didn't think that it wasn't before), I do not even want to being to think what it would be like to have a baby that small. Watching that show really opened my eyes made me so happy that I am on bed rest so that if I did end up having a preemie baby I know I did everything in my powers to prevent it. I just hope that Josie gets bigger and is able to finally join the rest of her brothers and sisters. Having a NICU baby is so hard unless you have been there it's really hard to explain. Amazing how I love someone so much and I have never even seen his face..........

This is Avery in the NICU thankfully he didn't have to have help breathing but he also lasted longer than Toby did by a week but both boys had to have an IV in their hands.
These pictures are of Toby in the NICU in the first one you can see Richards hand next to him second one is him all hooked up to every monitor to make sure he was doing ok & had to have a breathing tube.
