Do you open a gift on Christmas eve? As a child no. But now we have the kids open up 1 gift on Christmas eve that comes from Santa's helpers of PJ's

How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Ours is not decorated we can't get to our decorations right now super sad :(

Sugar! I love sugar cookies with all the icing and sprinkles and such (but only during Christmas season)

I am almost done just gotta get Richard and my parents that's it! Woot!

I like to listen to music when I'm sad or upset or happy......so yeah pretty much all the time!

Take the kids to TaxWorks for trick or treating then go around the neighbor houses. Adult party's are fun but with Kids, young ones at that they are just hard to do!

Kit Kats for Richard and Tootsie Rolls for me, YUM!

We don't have trick or treaters this year we only had one set that came and we used candy the kids got for them LOL

Keep them up until Thanksgiving since they are kinda the same, right? haha

{1} When was the last time you lost your temper?

Everyone has a degree of "loosing your temper" usually I lose my temper when the children lie to me. Yesterday Avery flat lied to my face 4 times, bold face caught his hand in the candy bag kind of lie. So when I went and got him from the Boy's and Girls Club I asked him AGAIN he and kept lying until he finally realized I knew he was lying. He came home ate dinner, took a shower and was in bed before 7. I am so sick of him lying to me. He needs to realize he can't lie or he will lose privileges like last night it was playing with his friends and had to go to bed early.

{3} What movie could you watch over and over again and never get tired of?

I honestly don't think I have a movie like that. I could watch Friends over and over again though but that's a lot of seasons to watch!

I got some awesome cookie cutters, so good Halloween candy, cause it's not Halloween without Candy, right? Some yummy cheese popcorn and some really cute decorations! I am a little nervous I am a total neat freak organized OCD Mom......Scared because new roomie isn't like that at all love her to death but she's not and for that I'm terrified!

That Diet Coke is the best stuff out there but I have been drinking a TON of water lately!

I kicked some serious BOOTY this week around the house, I am really proud of myself too! I cleaned out our cold storage room and our laundry room and the mini room under the stairs and the garage! GOooooooooooooooooooooo ME!

I honestly do not have anything else to do for organizing around the house, now I am going to start working on updating the house. Since I don't have a lot of extra money to do so, I will choose one part of a project (under 20 bucks) per week to work on. My next project is the windows in our front room. After that will most likely be painting the bathroom and finishing up the Bathtub. That should keep me busy for a few weeks for sure!

I am all alone (ie no hubby) tonight and I miss him! He's hunting with his Dad and it just makes me all sorts of happy for him to spend time with his Dad, he doesn't get to do this very often but I still miss him though thankfully he will be home tomorrow night yay!

{1} What is your feel better remedy when you are sick?

As much sleep as possible! A few weeks back I was sicker than I have been in YEARS I slept that weekend more than I was awake! Yikes.......it sure felt good!

{2} When illness strikes, what is your policy on staying home from work, school or church with yourself and the family?

Now that I am home I can stay home....as much as I want! If the oldest child is running a fever or has been throwing up then he stays home the other 2 don't go out but if they are running fevers or throwing up I won't let anyone come over.

{3} What do you think is worse? Flu or cold?

I would have to say the FLU for sure. Colds are just long and annoying but they don't knock you on your butt like the Flu does! Bleh!

{4} Flu shots? Do you get them? Have you yet?

Yes I get them just haven't yet, I know I am slacking!

{5} When are are feeling down, what is your usual, go-to therapy? (retail therapy, exercise, comfort food, etc).

It's been a very ROUGH week here in the Hendrickson's house. I am so grateful for my wonderful friend Lisa who has helped me through this nasty week. She is such a great person! I love and her family so much!

Marriage is so much harder than I ever realized and I'm working hard to keep it that way, Married. It's something you need to work on everyday. I now realize why when Babies (you know what I mean) get married why they usually end up in divorced...they still need to grow up themselves before they are able to give so much to someone else.

I am excited for this weekend and yet very scared, it's going to be a very busy weekend! Going to Provo to my cousin's baby's blessing on Sunday and Saturday is a bunch of random errands. Just hope I am able to get everything finished!

I am starting my diet tomorrow I'm excited and scared at the same time. I can't handle doing daily weigh in's so I am going to do weekly ones instead. I am hoping to lose my last final 20 pounds!

I go through phases right now it's Diet Coke and Special K chips they are both like crack! I however don't load up on either one because I would do nothing but eat/drink both all day long!

We make mini road trips to Idaho like once every few weeks to see the family It's been a while since I have gone on a LONG road trip. The last long road trip we went on was to Las Vegas to meet up with brother and sister in laws for a mini vacation the end of May.

{3} What do you miss most about home when on a trip?

The ability to completely relax.......if I want to sit around in my Vickies and watch Family Guy while I FB I should be able to do it......but you do it ONCE with family members around and you are considered the creepy Aunt! Pffttt whatever........

{4} What is the furthest you have traveled on a road trip?

If I drove it would be from Utah to California. If you want to count the time I didn't have to drive would be from California to New Jersey ya.....did that fun trip when I was 18 months old so I don't remember that fun trip but I did hear stories about it. When I was 9 1/2 We moved from Tennessee to Utah and I do remember that trip and how it took FOREVER.

{5} Will you "stop for the largest ball of twine, etc" or are you a "hurry and get there" road tripper?

If it's catches my eye I will probably stop to stretch the legs out but if we are in a hurry or if the kids are asleep I will pass that Largest ball of anything in a heart beat!

1. What is your favorite holiday?

What? My Birthday isn't a holiday? Pft! I love Thanksgiving and Christmas the same, the time to get together with family and eat lots of food........Mmmmmmmm I am already thinking of all the yummy foods!!!!!

2. Do you have any fun holiday traditions? What are they?

On Christmas Eve my Dad and Step Mom have everyone over for dinner and then we open up gifts. It's been something we have been doing since they got together. This year we won't be doing it with them because we will be in California kinda sad though cause it's something I look forward to every year! I am also making it a tradition for my kids to open up 1 gift on Christmas Eve.....a pair of Pj's to sleep in. My parents didn't do it for us as kids but I knew another family that did and I love the idea so far we have done it....once....but I know I will keep doing it from hear on out!

3. When do you start Christmas shopping?

This year I have started already. I got a few little gifts that I know the kids will like and hope to keep doing it each month so by the time Christmas season is offially "here" all I will need to get is candy canes and stocking stuffers and PJ's!

4. What is your favorite holiday food?

Cinnamon Rolls made from scratch!

5. Share a favorite childhood holiday memory

Christmas of 1989 I was 9 1/2 we were on the road driving here to Utah from Tennessee. We got to open gifts each day we were on the road that kept us from going crazy. We had a Van that had a TV and VCR (in 1989 that was un heard of...we were pimpin) so we got to watch movies/tv shows my mom recorded all day and play with toys. Some diner in Wyoming we got to our table to discover it had a phone FROM the table that you can call out on and order your dinner from it was the coolest thing EVER! Later that trip (before or after the awesome dinner experience I'm un sure) my Mom was driving and hit some black ice and we went into a ditch...nothing serious but we had to have a tow truck come pull us out. We got to Utah the day after Christmas and I got to spend time with cousins that I had not seen in a long time. I also got to meet a few new ones (Andera & Jonathan, who were 13 months old at the time) then we got to live in a hotel in Logan for a month or so where on Christmas eve we got to watch Space Balls for the first time and each gummy bears until we fell asleep. It was one of my favorite Holiday memories EVER!

6. Have you ever actually tried fruitcake??

Nope and don't plan on starting anytime soon either!

Yardwork & Such

In the first picture is my leg after the clippers decided to attack my leg on Friday night. Last Monday my Step Dad Terry and I worked in the yard chopping down the bushes we didn't want anymore in our front and on the side yards. On Friday we can got a dumster from the City and on Saturday we had my parents come over and help get the tree stumps out from the tree's we pulled up from Monday plus previous ones from years past. Along with trimming our rose bushes. Where was I during this fun time? In my bed sick as a dog. The last time I was this sick I had my appendix taken out back in 1999. Thankfully after a few days I am starting to feeling better (thankfully).

I would like thank my family again for coming out and helping us! I can't wait until next spring and we get our backyard finished!

Today I had to stand guard over my dumpster we ordered from the city because people kept coming up and trying to dump their junk in my bin...........problem is if it's to heavy I will get charged for it, one lady got in my face all sorts of pissed because I wouldn't let her drop off something in the dumpster and then got mad when I called Roy City and they backed me up when I said I had the right to tell them no. This made me pissy and I did not like being the mean person at all

My heart broke today for a little boy Avery's friend, I won't go into details but I realized I couldn't be a foster parent because I would want adopt all of them. :(

I am working on my yard tomorrow with my family members and I am very excited for it. I can't wait for it to be done and we don't look like the white trash family of the neighborhood

Someone took our dogs a 2 weeks ago but sadly I am OK with it. They destroyed my yard and I could never get them to listen to me and every time I would try and spend time with them they would just jump all over me. I know it sounds bad but I was OK with them being gone.

It honestly depends on who it is. If it's my Mother? Then phone call because she isn't the best at text messaging. Richard and I will text each other along with calling each other all day long. But what I love about text is if you need to talk to someone or tell them something you can do so much easier with a text and not feel like your bothering them. Plus I love to randomly text my cute hubby messages to remind him how much I love him and think about him.

It was from Jana I tried to call and she didn't answer so she responded "I will call you in a bit at the doctors."

Words with friends....I LOVE that game.....like a LOT :)

Now of days it seems like home phones are a thing of the past. And kids now of days are just as busy as the parents. I think it's a good idea if they have one if they need it but there is no reason they need to text message or games. They can just have it for phone calls.
